On June 20th 1997 THE HARDCOREMOTHERFUCKERS story really began at 39 Rhone Street, Linnen Meadows, Germany, where HARD TO HANDLE and THE GAMBLER bumped into each other. HARD TO HANDLE, merely an amateur drinker invited THE GAMBLER for a drink in the BASEMENT REHEARSAL HALL. THE GAMBLER agreed and on that spot a legend was created - a legend that will last a lunchtime.
They were soon joined by SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE but it would be another two Weizenbiers before they found their regular drummer CHARLIE KICKED IN THE ASS hiding under the bar. Later in the evening they were joined by THE PREHISTORIC BIRD, a guitarist and harp player of no fixed-hairstyle, JANUSCH CALLED JANUSCH and some more curious rusted people who just followed the queue entering the BASEMENT REHEARSAL HALL..
They gained their first manager CHEMICAL COMPUTER who was looking for pixels with his new digital camera at that time. So impressed was he with their music that he drank 7 Weizenbiers until he fell asleep on his barstool.
Thinking that drinking Weizenbier was a good start for their world career they all had another two, three or four drinks before they started to rehearse. It was a coincidence that there was a guy called Neil Young on the bar's TV: So THE HARDCORE MOTHERFUCKERS decided to dedicate their music to this guy 'til the end of their days.
This was the reason why they called this gathering the 1. German RustFest 1997
They started with their rehearsals taped by one of the rusted people. He treed it . . . the rest is history.
